We safeguard orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs). We do this by:

  • placing orphans in fostering placements

  • counselling children

  • supporting & counselling the foster carers

  • supporting child-headed households

  • making regular safeguarding visits

  • strengthening parenting skills

  • running memory box camps to help children who have lost a parent

  • organizing a joyful Christmas party

  • enrolling children in school to restart their education

  • making regular school follow-up visits

  • monitoring each child's welfare

  • raising awareness to stop gender-based violence and domestic violence

  • protecting children from abuse

  • providing food parcels for families in crisis

Grandmothers often provide the foster care, sometimes looking after quite a number of children
